Bakkendorff Ætt
My good friend and local watchmaker based in Copenhagen is almost done with the prototype of the small series called Ætt.
Having seen the project unfold over the last couple of years, I can assure you that this is some real watchmaking happening. Rune does designing, casemaking, screws, bridges, wheels and an entirely new winding and setting system etc.
along with excellent finishing is a huge undertaking.
The movement is pillar based and takes inspiration from 19th century Copenhagen watchmaking. A vision of keeping local design choices and using another clockmaker, Jens Olsens, creative tower clock display and miniturizing it into a watch.
