[SIHH 2017] De Bethune DB25L Milky Way
Jan 23, 2017,13:36 PM
Another news from the Geneva fair.
Most of you know the famous DB25 "starry sky" with its beautiful blue dial and stars represented by gold nails.
For the SIHH, the independant brand has launched a new version of this watch. However, this time, the Milky Way patterns is produced by micro laser striking gilded with 24 carats gold leafs.
Of course it still shows the spherical DB moonphase at noon too.
As you can see on these pictures, the hands have changed to more traditional Breguet ones.
The case of this version is made of Platinum (44.6 x 11.3 mm) and shows a baguette-set caseband.
Very poetic and another example of the brand's great talent.
The movement is the manual would version (6 days of power reserve) with the usual innovations the brand launched in the past: silicon annular balance encircled by a white gold ring
De Bethune Patent (2010), “De Bethune” balance-spring with flat terminal curve
De Bethune Patent (2006), silicon escape wheel
Spherical moon-phase indicator with precision of one
lunar day every 122 years
De Bethune Patent (2004) and triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system
De Bethune Patent (2005).
This dial is really something. I just hope it can also be proposed without baguettes and maybe with white gold hands.
Best, Mark
