Hublot loves Summer...

This was the motto under which the brand from Nyon recently presented two new editions that perfectly match summer, sun, beach and sea.

These are the Classic Fusion Chronograph Ibiza and Mykonos.

After Mykonos, Capri and Porto Cervo, Hublot conquered another Mediterranean jewel yesterday, inaugurating a pop-up boutique on Ibiza for the summer.

Guests enjoyed a taster of the holidays on the Marina in the presence of Ricardo Guadalupe, CEO of Hublot, and Noemi de Miguel, a TV host for Formula 1. It was also an opportunity to unveil the Classic Fusion Chronograph Ibiza, an innovative watch in blue ceramic that draws its creative inspiration from the island, its festive nature and its symbolism.

A horological dedication to the enchantment of Ibiza, and a way to treat yourself to celebrate the summer.

Ibiza the white island; like its immaculate traditional fincas, stands out against the pure azure sky and overlooks the crystal-clear blue sea.

This Mediterranean pearl, imbued with bohemian nonchalance, harbours elegant, intimate places and radiates the festive atmosphere of the season. Hublot has set up shop here for summer 2019, dedicating its blue-and-white Classic Fusion Chronograph Ibiza model to the island.
Crowned with a blue ceramic bezel, the 45-mm case encloses a chronograph movement, held on a bi-material strap in blue rubber and white alligator. As a nod to the hippy spirit that is part of Ibiza’s charm, the Peace and Love symbol features on the seconds counter drawn at 3 o’clock on the dial.

Hublot limits this edition to 50 watches.

The second watch is the Classic Fusion Chronograph Mykonos, which is available in two beautiful versions.

Following the success of the Classic Fusion Mykonos over the last seven years (2012 to 2018), Hublot and its local partner GOFAS Jewellery are unveiling a new Mykonos timepiece for summer 2019. Inspired by the Aegean Sea and the Cyclades Archipelago the watch is innovative for the first time featuring a sky blue ceramic bezel and unique rotating windmill, the iconic symbol of Mykonos, “waving” at 3 o’clock.

The watch evokes without question the most archetypical of the Greek islands.

And that is what Hublots is saying about this edition:
"To celebrate summer, Hublot is dedicating its Classic Fusion Chronograph Mykonos model to the island and its iconic symbol: the discreet and elegant rotating windmill. Crowned with sky blue ceramic bezel, the 45-mm case encloses a skeleton self-winding chronograph movement, held on a bi-material strap in black rubber and sky blue alligator leather. The sapphire dial showcases the Hublot logo engraved at the crown in either polished king gold or titanium.

"The trend Hublot perpetuates, where the mechanical microcosm is not hidden but fully revealed continues to be even more impressive in this collection, available only in Mykonos.
The limited editions of 50 pieces each of the titanium Ref.525.NL.0179.LR.MYO19) and king gold version (Ref. 525.OL.0189.LR.MYO19) represent the combination between the sky and the sea. A true fusion of the elements, born by the international collaboration "filled" with Greek color."

In my eyes the perfect watches for the summer!

Cheers,

Sascha

Greetings, Sascha! The Mykronos would be my pick, in ti, but all are beautiful and certainly hit hard on the "summer" theme. What strikes me first is how easily readable all are. Very

important to me; I am too impatient to look this way and that in the light just to make out what time it is! But next… that windmill is inspired! Sometimes one element alone can sell a watch, and for me… I can't imagine ever taking that element for grante...
