ZRC Grands Fonds “North Adventure”

Jul 20, 2018,22:57 PM

Finally took delivery of this watch today after a slight delay (was supposed to be delivered in May).

This is a 2017 Kickstarter project watch LE of 320 pieces created to support the adventurer Alban Michon on his expedition through the Canadian Arctic earlier this year.

The polar bear logo also cleverly has his initials hidden into it. Can you make them out?

After product trials and equipment shakedowns Alban requested the date calendar and cyclops so he could tell whether he was behind schedule or not.

The bezel has ZRC’s Easy Clean System (ECS) where a channel for flowing water helps keep the bezel free from dirt and grit.

The case and strap/bracelet hardware are all bead-blasted rather than the standard polished finish to make the watch more tool-like (ZRC’s words not mine).

The movement is an ETA 2824-2 elabore grade.

I chose the fabric “NATO” over the optional bracelet because I think it looks better, plus it also features the polar bear logo.

I hope you find this interesting.

I already have GF300 with the Nato strap so I purchased the bracelet with the North Adventure. Sure is a beautiful watch.

Congrats and please post pics when you receive it

Mine is 297/320. I was Kickstarter backer #297 so I chose the same number for my watch.

I am number 8

beautiful diver but not sure I am going to hang on to it. I will stare at it and my GF 300 for a while and figure out what makes sense.
