You are roght... it had to happen..

Hi Alberta Time,

You are right... it should have been expected.

Reality is the industry needed a wake up call and as prices climbed and climbed, while the world goes into a recession, that has still not bottomed, most luxury sellers are down by 70%.

In 2008 they were hyping it up by saying that they expected things to improve in 2009.... now in 2009 they say 2010.

Replace the word 'Expected' with "hope' and you don't need any translation.

It is only natural that a market correction will occur.

The problem for the watch industry is that if they drop prices they can never put them back up again.

i also think some makers will disappear.

Also, I think we will see a lot of rebadging of movements in different cases and at cheaper prices in coming months.

This will put some uniqueness on certain existing pieces which will be phased out of production, due to lack of sales.

'Time" will tell how Time makers fair.

Thanks for your comment,

Jack
