That question is like should I carry a Valextra carry-on or should I just settle for a Porter (of Japan, mind you, and perhaps stretching it to Monocle's edition of the Porter "of Japan" bags ;-) canvas week-ender?
But seriously, at the end of the day, does it really matter? Who will know whether your watch strap is by Hermes or otherwise? Just you yourself and to me, that's really what matters. Wear something because it speaks about you and not for what the brand represents. They are not paying us to be their brand ambassador; unless they are already doing so for you ;-)
