Why so little love for vintage Breitling Chronographs?

As a proud owner of these two ca.1968 vintage Breitling ref 0818 Chronomat Three Register Chronographs I often wonder what their desirability and value would be if they were “Rolex” products. IMHO The build quality and (especially) dial details are every bit what Rolex produces and the Venus cal 178 manual movement is a very accurate workhorse that rivals those in the early manual winding Rolex Chronographs.
These two are both Chronomat reference 0818 and are often referred to as “Big Case” Chronomats due to their relatively large 48mm cases.
Although very rare...the current value seems to be between $4k-$7k depending on condition. My white dial is NOS bought from a retired Breitling employee’s estate.
I wear them both periodically and enjoy them very much.
Thoughts and opinions most welcome.

There is much more love than you think for Vintage Breitlings, my friend.

But I agree with you, we should more often post them. Here is one I saw in a shop in Paris, some years ago. I should have grabbed it. Now some I have... And now, some I am running after... Best, Nicolas ...

Your white dial, mono-pusher is superb.

And the one at top you passed on, well it's really cool too. Frank's 3 register chronographs are wonderful, as well. M4
