chronographs, tourbillons et al are "grande complication", but with modern
technology and designs that no longer holds. For example no one would regard
IWC's execution of the rattrapante based on the Valjoux 7750 as a "grande
complication" like the Patek ref. 5959 or 5004. On the criteria of possessing an
extremely complication single function, the Memoire 1 fits the
bill.

The watch is incredible, and I am really looking forward to it.
I'm currently traveling with very limited access. Very happy to see, finally, more information on this landmark design and concept. It is a showstopper. More comments later. the watch has HUGE presence......

Thanks for the update and new images. This has kicked ML up a notch (or two) technically. "This Grande Complication is the most complicated 3-hand watch in the world." Isn't ML overstating it by calling this a "Grande Complication"?
