Weekend Breitling(s) - Part 8/?: A Superocean and some friends
Team,
I believe that we should be done in two more weeks but let's see what Breilting reserves for us this week.
I cannot open this post without crediting Ubik for his incredible knowledge about any watch that I post here.
Here we go:
1) A SuperOcean. Interesting watch:
2) An old "Geneve" model
3) A modern Cosmonaute
4) A very flashy Cosmonaute (Not my particular taste, if one ask)
5) A modern? MontBrillant
6) An "Old Navitimer II"?
That is what we have for the week.

Nicolas, When I selected the pic of the Geneve, I was sure that this oldie should please your taste for "ancien" chronographs. You need to spend some summertime here to see those live. Cheers, Nilo

very modern and graphic. What is the round opening on the dial at the 6:00 position? A date window? Hard to tell from the photo. Keep these great Breitlings coming Nilo!

...is also seen on aircraft clocks with chronometer function, too. (I have one with that feature on its way...) Pretty cool (and makes perfect sense, given their background at the time) that Breitling used it on a wristwatch. Another great thread. Thanks,...

I have a 1964 cosmonaute on my wishlist to go with my 64 navitimer. I'm not a huge fan of the modern Breitlings as they always look a bit blingy. The superocean is also a very nice piece. G
I also belong to the "no bling" party ...
But I also like the "no concern" party. Based on that, I could take the modern Cosmonaute, without the super hyper bling bracelet. This watch with a decent leather strap is wonderful, IMHO. Cheers, Nilo
