Horological Meandering

The yellow gold Angelus Tinkler

As a complement to the post from April 19 of our dear amanico, whom I heartily  thank for drawing our attention to this model, here's the yellow gold version of the Angelus Tinkler, which is limited to 15 pieces.

The Tinkler is a quarter repeater which chimes on demand by pressing the left pusher: a single strike on the first gong for each completed hour, followed by a double strike on two gongs per elapsed quarter.

The case measures 38 x 12.03 mm.

The watch is powered by the new in-house self-winding calibre Angelus A600.

After the “liveshots above, here are some “studioshots made by Watch Collecting Lifestyle.

The applied hour markers are faceted and have a unique shape and form.

At 3, 6, and 9 o'clock, distinctive “exclamation-shaped” hour markers highlight the quarter-hour positions.

At noon, there is an applied modernist-style numeral 12.

The hour and minute hands are Dauphine.

The screw-down caseback bears the maison's “A” monogram.

The watch can be heard chiming on a video featured on the brand's website: click here.

I like the vintage vibe of this watch very much.

Here's, for comparison, a wrist shot of the steel version.

Unsurprisingly, I personally prefer the yellow gold version, which I find more in tune with the watch's general design and identity.
