If you cross off Rolex, AP, and Patek when looking for stainless steel sport watches

You literally have an entire universe left over to choose from (at and even below MSRP).

From the Swatch Group of companies:
Omega
Blancpain
Breguet
Longines
Rado
Hamilton
Certina
et al

From Richemont:
Panerai
IWC
JLC
Cartier
et al

From LVMH companies:
TAGHeuer
Zenith
Hublot

Seiko group:
Seiko
Grand Seiko
Orient
et al

Citizen group:
Citizen
Bulova
Alpina
et al

Independents:
RM
Sinn
CWC
Damasko
Tutima
Hanhart
and a few other German brands

And if you are so inclined there's the micro-brands or "Boutique" brands which there seem to be a new one popping up every month.

I'm sure I missed a few dozen more.

You can get JLC Polaris models at MSRP. Solid watches from a legendary watchmaker with in house movements. If you want to go more “high end” then Vacheron’s Overseas line is an option.

Jaeger Lecoultre, Panerai, Girard Perregaux, Ulysse Nardin, Tudor. They all have excellent sports watches, at the retail, or even below. [nt]

Really lots of choices, with the possible exception of Lange virtually every brand has something to offer, provided you don’t solely focus on models that others have designated as “hot”...😉

Not intended as a sports watch per se, but it fits the category...stainless steel, good water resistance w/ screw down crown, solid durable movement, sporty bracelet...

I surely have passed on some pieces I wish I could have pulled the trigger on.

As for the current stainless steel craze regarding a few particular models, what can you do. I have a policy of not going above retail for any current watch, and that includes anything from AP. I have been on a white dial Daytona list with the local Denve...
