Is there a big difference in quality of AR certain brands use? Obviously the big difference is if they go inner + outer crystal (double ar) but is there a difference between coatings available too? It seems like some of my double AR watches have less refl... 

Many old panerai also use a blueish coating which I personally enjoy but that's very personal. The lack of decent coating on many sports rolex models drives me nuts and a major show stopper, even their latest foray is quite pathetic. Another important fac... 

And agreed, my u50 has great double AR. I think the rolex double ar is just on the date crystal?

Historically they only applied coating to the cyclops on date models, newer models show a modest improvement if you are used to potent AR. I understand their concern is about durability, however I've never had any issue with any of my watches and some of ... 

My sinn U50 is very abused too and totally fine.
