this very interesting read. Great insight into the thinking & feelings that went into the acquisition of 4 datographs (also my favourite watch) and an enviable collection of Lange's, Patek's and others. I also noted that the Collector wears his watches, including all 4 Dato's, rather than keep them in original sealed plastic bags for "investment" purposes.

I think money has got nothing to do with passion.
If we own 200 Casios incld. all LEs and there's a fight to get the piece & story for every one of them, it's passion already I remember Jaw said once, "It has got nothing to do with the depth of your wallet..." and I think he nailed it!
