Thomas Ernst was very active as a writer on horology in earlier years, having been a regular contributor to the German "Chronos" magazine. Later he all but withdrew from the watch industry "cloud", yet he still keeps the primary Swiss-German watch forum running. This is called "Watchtime" and has several similarities with PPro, regarding its principles of information distribution and the tone of the discussions. By the way, the forum name "Watchtime" has been used long before the birth of the US watch magazine with the same name. The Ebner publishers were not happy about that, but had to accept the older rights.
