Limited to only 160 pieces worldwide, the collection unveils a never-been-seen sporty side of the legendary Swiss watch manufacture, anchored by brand new case and dial designs, and material experimentation.

 

 

Juxtaposing exhilarating aesthetics and extreme engineering, the Singapore Grand Prix 2009 Racing Chronograph turns on the charm with a new interpretation of Franck Muller’s iconic Cintrée Curvex case shape that sports a more rugged masculine profile. Making an appearance, too, for the first time is a sportive multi-layered dial brimming with elegance and machismo.

 

Like a bona fide F1 machine, the case of the Singapore Grand Prix 2009 Racing Chronograph is fortified by ground breaking material combinations. This time, the Master of Complications has infused the case with an ultra-light and highly robust high-tech alloy called ergal. A material commonly used in the F1 and aerospace industries, ergal boasts a high strength-to-weight ratio, making it a perfect fit for Franck Muller’s lofty mechanical feats.

A self-winding chronograph collection,the timepieces are powered by the FM7000 movement, which features a proprietary date-corrector push pieces that allows users to set the date forward and back with ease. And capping the limited edition series is decorative craftsmanship of the highest order. The movement is diamond polished and beveled to perfection, and finished with Côtes de Genève decoration.

The Conquistador Singapore Grand Prix 2009 Racing Chronograph is available in two executions 80 pieces in titanium and ergal, and 80 pieces in rose gold with titanium and will be available for preview in the new Franck Muller flagship boutique in ION Orchard from September 2009 onwards.
