Hi All,
Received as a gift from my wife the SevenFriday Woody limited edition . Not a person who would opt for this but read about it in several blogs and decided to pull the trigger until my wife insisted that she would pay for it .
Little write up about the piece :03-W Woody surrounds the dark grey PVD-treated stainless steel case (which they call a "box") with an outer wooden bumper (which they call an "animation ring"). According to the brand, this outer ring consists of seven layers of American walnut, beech, and cherry wood that have been individually shaped, lacquered, and layered. SevenFriday then worked with an Italian "luxury wood joiner" called Watschinger to bond them together – " . The watch is with the Japanese movement and constructed in HK. End result a beautiful piece of art !!

Wood seems to be making a comeback - there was a Tissot made out of wood in the 1980s, then RL last year and now this Very intriguing piece - hope you enjoy it thoroughly!

I like brands like SF who play with ideas and make the product affordable to most people.

This is not only an achievement in its own right, but also a contribution to the mechanical watch industry. More people, especially the younger generation, could be drawn the mechanical world with a watch like this.
