Seiko Presage, 60th Anniversary Chrono

Some of you know I am prone to impulse purchases. You know the drill: buy in a passionate hurry and then , gradually at first, the doubt creeps in. You would have thought that at my age and with the endless examples of losses accrued I would have learnt. But no.
A few months ago I saw the pics ot the Presage 60th anniversary Chrono, Urushi dial, and very nice numerals....and the price!!...WOWZA!!! Faster than you can read this sentence I was on the phone to the distributor to order one. Previous experience of buying without trying? Pah!!! I want it now.....I really am hopeless.
Moving on,,,I received it three weeks ago.
The packaging was gratifyingly minimal, the watch was really nice,,,possibly a bit thick, but, hey, a new romance is a new romance. We're talking instant gratification here.....the dial and numerals are really classy and stylish, beautifully executed too.
The case is nicely designed with pleasing details.
The mechanism probably a tad small for the case size and with a beautifully executed simple finish. It's a lot of watch for the money.
Being a little OCD I set the time against my radio controlled clock. After a few days I noticed something unusual....it had hardly gained or lost at all. Huh??? A good value watch with incredible timekeeping? Maybe I needed to adjust the balance of my recreational pharmecuticals (I'm kidding).
Now I was intrigued. Rather than the usual watch dance of one week on,,,NEXT one please,,,,and so on. I decided to keep it going for a bit.
So: worn for the day, put aside for the night,,,the odd day spent off the wrist whilst I dallied with other loves,,,,but made sure the Presage was fully wound.
It is now three weeks, 21 days,,,,and IN TOTAL over that period it has gained 3-4 seconds. How can this be? But it is so.....incredible!!!
