RIP Helmut Sinn
Yesterday, on Valentine's day 2018, one of the icons of German and/or toolwatch watchmaking, Helmut Sinn, passed away aged 102. Mr Sinn was one of those who actively shaped and pioneered the watch industry. His namesake comnpany Sinn as well as his latter endeavours Guinand enjoy a cult following amongst watch aficionados.
Farewell Mr Sinn, and thank you for all your hard work and the pleasure you gave us!

This is a sad loss for all of us who love watches…
Started his company in 1961 specialising in aircraft clocks as he was a pilot and loved flying. He only retired in 2006
you are probably right, Magnus....
but watches is a world of smoke and mirrors and Sinn a small player. They are one of those brands where the more you know the more you want to get one.
