I come back to the fact that we should strongly consider a watch this would appeal to men and women. That is why my first choice would be a JLC Reverso.

Feb 23, 2016,10:25 AM

The Reverso would be price competitive and would probably allow for a engraving on the case to make it memorable as a PPRO piece and ask for a social dial treatment with lumed numbers.

A three hand watch would be my preference.

Other considerations might be a Dornbluth, Ochs and Junior.
Chopard already did a watch
Benzinger would be cool
Montblanc a distant maybe
Grand Seiko maybe

I do like box idea as well may was an optional add on.

PuristSPro 15th anniversary watch - what brands, what type, what complication?

 By: KMII : February 18th, 2016-02:22
To hopefully make this a bit more concrete, the idea would be to summarize all the possible brands mentioned in the original post and see which brands would probably get a higher take rate. I hope I have not forgotten any mentioned brands Following that s...

1. So a list of the possible brands (alphabetically), with a yes, no, maybe by interested Purists? 1.01. Benzinger - Maybe 1.02. Chopard - Yes 1.03. Christiaan van der Klaauw - Yes 1.04. D. Dornblüth & Sohn - Yes 1.05. Grand Seiko - Yes 1.06. Habring2...

Brand details please.

 By: Julian C : July 30th, 2016-05:33
Im new to the forum, so could you just educate me please as to which brands specifically support us all here, and is there an order to those - i.e. Which supports "the most" and so on (the forum especially)? Be great to know. Thanks in advance, Julian C.

Probably not the right person to answer this

 By: KMII : July 30th, 2016-06:40
But the ones with a brand sub-forum are generally supportive. Previous PuristSPro watches have been made by Bvlgari, Chopard, St. Gallen Horology and Paul Gerber (may have forgotten some). Hope that helps!

Thanks... Nice! [nt]

I think we could clean up this list a bit...

 By: Ornatus-Mundi : February 18th, 2016-02:29
as (i) no Swatch Group company would do this and (ii) while Habring2 would be an attractive offering, they have just done there TZ LE as well as another one for a collector's group. Furthermore, they could only do a very limited number. Finally, shouldn't...

Agree definitely that it should be a brand close to PPro

 By: KMII : February 18th, 2016-02:35
I just listed all that I found in the original post, without making any choices, judgements or omissions - but the closeness is likely to very strongly influence the answers... I guess the number needed (if it is again 178 or a (much) smaller number) woul...

Its a tough list... with too many choices

 By: andrewluff : February 19th, 2016-13:11
I agree with Magnus that it should be a brand who support us and for what we stand for. I am open to most brands, basic or with complication, sporty or dressy and at a price that meets what we are getting. The box idea is OK... but honestly for me I do ha...

Many for sure...

Would it or should it be a portable box?

 By: mkvc : February 18th, 2016-22:27
The nice thing about a "community watch" is that it can be worn to community events. I like the idea of a community box, but it's harder to enjoy boxes together than it is to enjoy watches together. It might be good to have a community watch that comes pa...

Now that is a great idea!

A combination, with the box being available separately, too

This is a good idea...

 By: ik2000 : February 18th, 2016-14:29
There is something about 'community' watches that just don't sit right with me. I guess, in the end, it is because there is ALWAYS going to be compromise when trying to meet the needs of so many.... and when buying a timepiece, regardless of cost, I would...

Benzinger, Ochs and Junior, JLC and Nomos. Would anyone think Pita is also a viable option? Don't we love supporting AHCI members Preferably in the 5000 eur range, or not too far from it? Looking forward to see how this progress!

Anniversary Watch

I feel Omega or Tudor would be best. Both brands have true horological heritage and price wise would fit in this range perfectly. But if they would play? Maybe a Hublot Classic? I\'m sure they would play ball as King of LE\'s.

+ Zenith [nt]

Manual wind, try and true non in house movement, meaning less costly. Bonuses: 1) The crown logo is only engraved. 2) Lots of dial real state to write whatever we decide. Cheers, Nilo ...

Nilo, YOU as a PURIST want to actually write text on the dial?

How dare you ;-) MB has a long history with & connection to PPro. We should not forget this. Cheers, Magnus

While the movement is not the most exciting, it compensates with the affordability and the brand is definitely right in terms of connection to the forum. The design is as close to the Pythagore Aviation as one is likely to get, too...

Maybe late,

I know Paul Gerber\'s work is not to everyone\'s liking, but I hugely admire his pieces and the man himself

Thanks for the input!

AFAIK JLC is out. Will see what the status is and get back to you.

Seemingly on hold for the moment since the likely options did not pan out

But will meet some Purists soon and see if there is still a chance to find another way

I'll keep it simple....

Rolex Sporty and SS Any complication....maybe preference to a GMT as easy to do a colour combination unique to PPro Any price Andy.

That would be cool dear Andy

I will answer this two ways. Once as asked, although the other may be more specific.

First I will give specific answers. In these they would be Omega watches that could be easily created with existing parts, but have never been made. DeVille GMT Power Reserve. Both the caliber 2628 (dual time) and 2627 (power reserve) are based on the 250...

Thank you for your very considered response Horology411!

Unfortunately we will seemingly not get Omega to play. There is another option being explored with a different manufacturer by the moderators at the moment

I should have read all the updates before posting.

Since there are 1.5 possibilities (interesting to think about, sounds like 2 to me), why get feedback on them? I would imagine Dornblüth would be willing.

It will take a little bit longer
