PPro ABR #156 finally on my wrist!

Thank you everyone for your kind words when I did my last post on how much I missed the ABR as I was on a family vacation when it was delivered to my home.

And sorry for one more post on this watch. I just cannot help but to share my joy of having this special watch!

Today, I finally have access to the PPro ABR #156. Here's the unboxing process and some photos to share. I really like this watch and regretted not getting it earlier.

It's really an ultra cool and unique timepiece suitable for rough wear.

Love the carbon fibre dial's wet look, the mix of red, black and green on the dial. The silicon straps also feels great on the wrist and has a good friction to the skin such that the watch does not slide even when worn loosely (which is important for silicon/rubber straps in humid and hot Singapore). The heft of the watch case surprised me a bit (it feels quite heavy for a steel watch) but I like the heft and have no issues with it.

I am wearing it with the supplied red straps as it makes the watch more attractive, as a casual watch with the family on weekends.

Only thing I struggled with is the pushing/sliding of the straps into the lug holes of the watch. It was very tight for the long side of the strap (the shorter end of the strap is easy to slide in and out).

This looks like a great watch for me to swim with too. 100m WR - perfect!

PS: Stefan - i guess I am lucky - I don't feel uncomfortable with the strap and buckle so I won't need the new straps from St Gallen.

I am using the plastic buckle though - haven't tried the steel PVD buckle yet.

Is harder to match clothes but I love the red strap and black case combination. I was a little worried it may smell on my wrist after a day of wear in the hot and humid weather here but hey... after 6 hours of wear in non air conditioned places, no smell ...

Loose seconds hands

It is a very comfortable watch. It does look great on your wrist. Sadly, mine developed a problem of the seconds hand getting stuck at 8 following a couple of months of no use. I assume the seconds hand has tilted slightly, just enough for it to get stuck...
