I had admired this watch for its design and the Kurt Klaus perpetual calendar with 4 digit year, and purchased when the watch was updated to incorporate the dual spring barrel 5200-series caliber. Another perpetual calendar that I like is the De Bethune, ...

It’s a beautiful way to represent the complication. Moser makes some of the best perpetual calendar displays and they are available for significant discount on the secondary market. I think the newest versions with the month window are a step in the wrong... 

For me, they embody good watch design. Time and date with (practically) no manual intervention. The Moser in particular is a very clever and practical design. I don’t wear mine anywhere near enough because it serves as my dress watch. ...
