As I promised to you here are the pictures and the small stories of my pocket watches.
First I will present the oldest one. The watch from my grandfather!
A Cortebert that he bought in Marseille more than 100 years ago. Actual it was the watch that "push" me to start all this crazy horological voyage!
It was abandon in my fathers office for many years as it was not working and he wanted to repair it "as per manufacturer".
Unfortunately Cortebert closed end of 60's and there was not spares available neither a technician able to fix it.
After came to my hands found Ioannis (a specialist in watch making and focusing in vintage ones with passion and certification) and I manage to restore it in a way that didn't lose it's vintage characteristics but was 100% in original mechanical condition!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Have it for almost 4 years in continuous usage and is giving extremely accurate results (+8 sec/24 hours)!!!!!!!!!!!
