Rolex from 1948 ...

CORTEBERT was the company that supply ROLEX and PANERAI (and many other brands) with their calibers as well the whole design of the watches. You can see in the below pictures the "similarity" of the caliber of my grandfather's CORTEBERT and a ROLEX calibe...

I know the the USSR bought the rights to produce Cortebert in Russia (even some of the machining), it is called Molnija (as pictured in your post) the interesting thing is they were still producing them up to 2010 in a way Cortebert lives on In addition M...
