My first Gerald Genta and second incoming for 2018 - the Universal Geneve White Shadow Ultra Slim
In addition to the iconic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and Patek Philippe Nautilus, and Watches bearing his own name, Gerald Genta designed pieces for brands from Bulova to Seiko.
One he had quite some involvement with appears to be Universal Geneve (Polerouter anyone?). Mine is a later model, namely the White Shadow Ultra Slim, manufactured in 1974.
At 35mm x 8mm it’s certainly not the slimmest piece I have but feels extremely thin on the wrist, especially for an automatic. Powered by the 2-66 ultra thin Microtor movement.

Mine is on a period correct Guy Freres bracelet but may eventually try a strap, too.
Cannot say much more as it just arrived from customs but will write a fuller report shortly!
