Horological Meandering

Watch enthusiasts use a lot of shorthand and jargon. We have nicknames for watches that can confuse the uninitiated. I remember referring to a Speedy a few years ago and someone asked me what I meant. But we have bumblebees, DRSDs, Volcanos, etc., etc... 

but I think it would be fun. When I first started in this hobby I had a hard time deciphering all the terms and jargons used by WIS but gradually it all came together. What's more difficult for me is all the local Chinese slangs used to decribe or name a ... 

There are sections within the community (and I guess Rolex stands out, but there are others) that have their own jargon that even the rest of us 'normal' watch aficionados can't keep up with. But it's partly what makes the hobby fun - all the research req...
