Mmm I saw a stunning ref 7981 skin Diver in Nos condition on Parmegiani's website a few days ago. I really love the particularity of the red bezel but I still prefer ref 7150-1

As you said a true challenging "mission" finding a nice exemplar. The one sold by Phillips is in great condition and the dial has a super cool patina. Best.
I think, taking a few steps back, that there is a lot of undiscovered value in a lot of vintage Longines.
