Micro brand fun !

Do you suffer from watch fatigue?

Do you believe that almost all watches from the more established brands are shamelessly overpriced?
Do you feel that most established brands have lost imagination and creativeness?
Do you just want to have fun wearing a nice watch without the idea of prestige, perceived collectability or value retention?

Maybe then you are ready to have a closer look at offerings from (the so-called) micro brands,....as I did !!

I recently added a few of those to the collection...and I can assure you that I have a lot of fun and pleasure wearing them:

The Heinrich Helicoprion from Germany.
A nice blend of 70'ies diver and sport-chic design elements with a carnelian stone dial.
Very well executed package in a compact 40mm case (wearing more like 38-39mm) with a trusted and well regulated SW 200 movement.
A special mention for the beads of rice bracelet : links with screws (screw driver part of the package); quick release and on-the-fly micro adjustment !!
And a just astonishing price point for such a package!!

The Italian echo/neutra Rivanera : one of the best designed dress watches from the previous years.
Extremely well executed and powered by the ETA 7001 hand wound movement.
A delight on the wrist !!

The French Awake Son Mai with its superb hand made dial showcasing the ancient Vietnamese lacquering technique.
A bit more expensive than the other two but this is due to the handcrafted dials which take up to 10 hours to produce.
Well powered by the LJP G100 movement.

I certainly cannot exclude to add some more of these micro brand watches to the collection, maybe next with a Serica Field Chronometer.

Now up to you : show us all of these lovely micro brand watches that you have ...and enjoy wearing !

Best,
Gerard
