Just when you think it's all flash

and tourbillons, and craziness here all the time... sometimes it feels like a marketer's dream on here,
but then I see stuff like this, and realize there are some people that do care about the actual "logy"
part of "haute horology". And yes, I love the flash too, and I realize that's not how the site started, but still, nice.

A fleeting glimpse of something many will never care about, but nice to see to me.

I'd love an article going over how leap seconds have affected perpetual calender watches.
I know it's only a second- but when some of these modules are made to calculate out to
thousands of years, with 10 leap seconds in the 30 years, if I remember right.. this really
will start to affect them at this rate, after another hundred years...

The video is mesmerizing. Is there a single reference clock or timer that is considered the true time and all other timekeepers should use as a reference ? If this timer does exist where is it located? Love the post, love the video. Stewart
