Introducing Dubey & Schaldenbrand - Artisans Xtreme

 

On wrist review.

I had the opportunity to take a few quick wrist shots of the Dubey & Schaldenbrand -  Artisans Xtreme.  This is a big watch 47mm but no big by today's standards.  But I can tell you the they put some extra effort into making this watch a very comfortable watch to wear.  The bracelet is reinforced underneath the leather strap which creates a wrist hugging fit.  It sits proud and comfortably on the wrist.  The watch is Valjoux 7751 base, hand-engraved and assembled by Dubey & Schaldenbrand.  The fit and finish is very nice indeed.  I am affriad I did not know much about the brand and its history as the company has been around for a long time.  I think like many small watch makers in Switzerland the advent of the quartz movement pulled the traditional watchmaker out of the game and out of existence in many case. 

The Dubey & Schaldenbrand -  Artisans Xtreme is a watch that should appeal to many for both dressy and sporty attire.  I also took some more pictures of some of their collection which I will try and put a little review together.  Thank you to the D&S team for sharing these pieces with me
