I wore my grandfather's pocket watch daily for years in my pants pocket.
It was (and is) an old Omega. I just stuck it into my right pocket and went about my business, pulling it out when I wanted to know the time. Every step I took (and I was a student at the time, so I walked a lot and ran when late for class), it slapped against my thigh. It kept good time, did not absorb too much pocket lint, and is none the worse for wear. Old watches are tough.

Heavy Duty Pieces Indeed and especially significant since it connected you with you Grandfather, I never got to know mine, so I wish I had something of his as a heirloom. If you have a picture of it handy, would love to see it. S
