Neutral is the right word.
Neutral in both sights.
AP and VC are for me so neutral as the mount blanc between Switzerland and Italy.
Do not hate them, do not love them.
The VC wins, but with a very small step.
Compare to cars, BMW is for me neutral.
Mercedes is top, and at the bottom is Opel.
Some watches are so nice i dream of them are
Bvlgari, Longines, Baume and Mercier, Ulysse Nardin, IWC Schaffhausen.
Also nice: Tissot, Omega, Breguet, Ball, Moser and Cie.
Never want A Lange and Sohne, Sinn, and Seiko.
Neutral for me:
AP, VC, Pattek, Rolex, Breitling, Jeager Le Coultre, Louis Moinet, Jaquet Droz, Hamilton, Rado, Franck Muller, Cartier,
Mount blanc, Swatch, Van der Gang, Tudor, Raymond Weil.

Somehow I fall in love with the VC if given a free/gift choice. On the other hand I would buy the AP. Nonetheless I would choose and buy Patek Tourbillon and PC over VC and AP
