Well I decided two things. The first is that my presbyopic eyes could not read the date easily, and the second is that Rolex got it right the first time when they put a cyclops lens on the Tudor Monte Carlo. So a $7.50 crystal cyclops lens, a little glue,...
The next day after it set very well, I cleaned the crystal and it really looks flawless. Also, the balance of the watch looks better with a larger date at the bottom to balance off the Tudor emblem at the top and the thick hour markers.
...that perhaps you won't need Rolex to service your watch (which I guess they won't do since it's modified now)! Enjoy your personalized Tudor! Cheers, Daos
You now have a one-of-a-kind that meets your needs and expectations. Pretty Cool! I have to admit, I'm too clumsy and have too many thumbs to try this on my own. Best Regards, Dan
clean it up with alcohol and start over. The glue dries slowly, and you have a lot of time to position it. Then you just clean away all the excess glue, it is pretty easy.
