Horological Meandering

Hundreds of novelties,press releases,sleepless nights full of anticipation,discussions,fantasies......dreams. Which brand ,big or small,is in your opinion the 2013 winner? Not a single watch,but a brand as a whole,which was the most impressive in your opi...  

But I know the watch fairs have finished. Perhaps for me, continuing on from my impressions honed in 2012 and not because you started this thread, but I would say De Bethune as well! They strike the right balance between avant garde and traditional, both ... 

certainly the fireworks have almost finished... Yes this year De Bethune overdid themselves ....no doubt about it. It will be hard to do better.....

Sitting here, now, with the catalogue collected at SIHH, memories come flooding back: watch, after watch, after watch - the whole collection! - kindly and patiently offered up by Alessandro Zanetta for inspection; boxes of De Bethune watches stacked ten a...  

The rest was offered by a mix of comforting surroundings,great watches,excitement of meeting new people and De Bethunes ability to make everybodys at ease. Its difficult to choose in their catalogue indeed,but as you said,amongst the human specimens,defin... 

And why not! I concur with the sentiments above, there is not a single piece in the current collection that I'd kick out of the watch box. I also agree with PPlatter on the top merits for short-term achievability going to a long-lugged DB28. BTW - that DB... 

I just wanted to see what were peoples favourite collections this year....many even during SIHH concurred on this years De Bethune s line up... DB28 for me too.... Mo

Some beauties there and additions for this year for both of us!! For me... Hmm I am not sure... As a whole collection DB of course is very strong but then I am liking a lot of the indies at the moment so not sure they have a collection, more special piece...
