Breitling Superocean Ref 1004 from 1957 and Superocean from 2016.
I've just read Anthony's press file he posted on " News Central " about the new Breitling Superocean.
And I couldn't help thinking about the original, the Ref 1004:
Compared to the latest:
Aaargh...
38 mm, concave bezel, for the original.
44 mm black steel normal bezel for the latest.
For sure, in terms of water resistance, the latest is much safer, and its bezel doesn't turn accidentally, but in terms of charm...
What do you think?

No question about it
The modern Breitlings are all (?) ugly as h*ll and the brand is a shadow of its former self. Maybe not economically, but style wise: ouch! Guess that\'s what you get when you have a Scientology pilot advertising for you....
Is it just me?
Aren't there twenty or so other dive watches that are more or less the same as this new Superocean? They must sell but they're darn bland to look at. Even if the dial is busy it's still bland ("bland" and "busy" go together ok in this context).
A new topic could be how many people dive (or just swim) with their diving watches?

If I was the owner of a high horological diving watch... I will use my Casio ;-)
