Breitling is on the right track but marketing strategy suspicious.
Tried the AVI Ref 765 at the boutique recently. Must say it’s a stunning looking watch with all the right touches. Didn’t buy because: (1) I felt that pricing is a bit high for the brand at this moment and (2) the “raquel welch” reverse panda version is the more memorable version.
Given Breitling’s track record, Breitling might surprise us... like with the SuperOcean heritage ‘57 rainbow. I know of friends who bought the 250 piece LE black dial (nice watch) thinking it’s a capsule release and a month a later, Breitling released the same watch in a 1000LE blue dial version.

I am fully aware that Breitling is not a brand much in evidence here and that there are not that many owners out there. What I am curious about, though is what you make of some of Kern’s re-editions that have been launched recently - specifically the AVI ...

I was never a huge fan of the brand (however my father is , he owns 5 Breitlings if i am correct)
I do like there latest versions from 2020 🤗. I think they are on the right track
I feel there are suddenly getting more interesting again...

Got to check that out 👍🏻 As for the marketing strategy, I know what you mean. They called it the Corona edition and give proceeds to a charity but it must be falling for the people who got the first LE, I guess...
I love the AVI...
Always wanted the vintage one but since this version is quite faithful to the original I might go for this one instead. The Superocean seems fun but have yet to see it in person to understand and appreciate it Sam

The non-limited versions are reasonably cheap so might make for a fun beater - but would need to see them first 🤔

Do not look at others. If you adore Breitling, chose it, love it. For me there is always a check box which stay open. Breitling does not make my watch, but they have interesting models, that’s for sure. Breitling have much fans, so you are not alone. Here...
