Boucheron Automatic Chronograph "Paname"

I was invited yesterday by Boucheron to see a presentation of the Basel 2009 collection including their latest automatic chronograph from the Ronde collection: the "Paname". In fact, this name which is the slang name of Paris has been just given to the watch. It symbolizes the mischevious side of the city of light...

The "Paname" is an elegant watch which is available with PG or SS cases. The diameter is quite large (43mm) and you will notice the presence of "clous de Paris" on the case sides.

The caliber is an ETA + DD which modular conception can be seen through the respective positions of the crown and pushers.

What I like in this watch :

- its overall elegance
- a timeless design
- the case finishings
- the applied figures
- the large counters

What I don't like:

- the small date window, it seems so tiny on the dial. Maybe a big date display would have been a nice idea in this context.
- the modular caliber
- the diameter of the watch, I would have prefered it smaller.

Next year, Boucheron will release a watch with a partnership with  an independant watchmarker, like it was the case with Richard Mille for the 150th anniversary watch. I don't have more news for the moment.

I would like to thank the  Boucheron team for the invitation.
