Bad timing?

I have long been an admirer of the work of the Gronefeld brothers and particularly interested in their Remontoire. My only hesitation was not having ever seen the watch in the "metal" I was reluctant to pull the trigger not knowing how it would feel on the wrist. I finally had an opportunity to do so at the shop of Martin Pulli who is an AD for this brand and other superb independents (I will submit another post on that incredible experience later) with their Principia product which has the same case size but different movement which is quite wonderful as well. After going back and forth with the different dial versions I decided on this version of this work of art.

I then reached out to Martin to begin the process to facilitate finally obtaining this magnificent piece. As it turns out the brothers are only producing 188 of these and while thus far they have produced 136 of them, the remaining 52 are already allocated. Oh well, I suppose the moral of the story is slow movers are sure losers! At any rate I am very happy that they were so successful with this watch and I look forward to what they will produce in the future.

you do see them occasionally on the secondary market. Perhaps they would make an other dial if you wanted?

I agree.

He had this version and the light blue one and they were both very nice. While your pictures are great, they just don't quite capture the subtle sparkle in salmon version. I had to show great restraint from buying either on the spot! Perhaps one of the be...

My favorite version is the LE for Hodinkee (which are included in the 188 total)

A stealth watch that packs a horological nuclear bomb.

Small run of 12 watches within the run of 188 total
