An outstanding collection ! A dive watch that, in my opinion, has never come close to being surpassed in terms of design, materials, and overall package .Thanks for sharing.

While rotating watches at the safe deposit box I finally took a photo of all of my IWC Porsche Design Oceans (both civilian 2000 and military Bund models). IMHO, these are the some of the most advanced dive watches ever made. They are among the first if n...

Thank you Nico

I am still waiting for a 3519 AMAG in my collection of Oceans. You're right in that their futuristic look gives them a UFO appearance when looked on sideways

Showing great Patina Nico :) [nt]

Agree, the patina on this one is superb

I have a couple with similar patina. That tritium IWC used aged really well.

That's a great example TT

Wear it in good health!

Just one word: Wow!

I cannot believe that the IWC Porsche Design Oceans are still sailing beyond the radar. Marvelous design and perfect functionality still by today’s standards.

Thanks JLCman

I agree, but the watch can also be an acquired taste because of its unique looks and limited bracelet/strap options.

Great collection [nt]

And your collection is fantastic! Which is making me think I need one, too πŸ˜‰πŸ˜‚

KM you do need one my friend!

I highly recommend one!

I am slowly getting over my reluctance to get dive watches...

As I don’t dive. But I made an exception for my Searambler, and as you know it’s a slippery slope πŸ˜‚

Without the typical elapsed time bezel/insert

The Ocean 2000 is a much more versatile looking watch than most of the traditional dive watches.

That it certainly is...

Especially with its slim profile πŸ‘ŒπŸ»

Very cool collection indeed. I agree, they were disruptive in terms of material and design.

I think however that they were NOT the first fully titanium watches. If memory serves me well it was 1983 when the Oceans came to light whereas it was already in 1980 that IWC introduced the Porsche Design Titan Chrono ref. 3700. Below, back row: 3529 / 3...

You are correct HSTE, the IWC PD Titan chrono pre-dated the Ocean 2000!
