Alain Silberstein may be back!
I’ve had a soft spot for his designs ever since trying a Krono about 15 years ago, so am happy to hear the Besançon outfit may be back in force after falling victim to the 2008 crash.
He’s been active with collaborations over the last few years, which has yielded some clever use of shapes and colours to contemporary independent designs, and it will be interesting to see what comes out of the new in-house iteration, starting at €20,000.
There is also an interesting interview with him a couple of years ago where he goes into detail about the design philosophy and general thoughts on horology.
