Horological Meandering

I have decided that I want to buy some books on the history of watchmaking. I have found five volumes that I am interested in purchasing, but many have multiple editions, and I hope that someone who has read one or more of these texts can help me know which edition is best to buy. 

The titles are: 

F. J. Britten's “Old Clocks and Watches & Their Makers”

G. H. Baillie’s “Watches: Their History, Decoration and Mechanism”

T.P. Cuss’s “The Story of Watches”

C. Clutton & G. Daniels’s “Watches – A Complete History of the Technical and Decorative Development of the Watch”

E. Jaquet & A. Chapius’s “Technique and History of the Swiss Watch”
