Sinn U50

How come there’s been no love for this novelty from Sinn? Personally, I find this to be very tempting proposition. Tough-as-nails case, smaller case (supposedly 47.6mm lug to lug), sharp look with tons of contrast and no fautina, a trusty movement, and de...

I agree, but then I don’t agree whole-heartedly.

Can I at least get to you agree that it’s better-priced? After all, they both have standard work-horse (non-in-house) movements

Yes, this is a tempting new release from Sinn.

More important than liking it more than the Doxa, I like it more than earlier Sinn divers. It's a better size, both diameter and thickness, and (like you said) no fake patina. I think I like the metal bracelet version the best, but the one pictured really...

I always liked the Sinn U1 and owned it for some time but ultimately found it too big for my wrists. I will certainly give this 41mm a try.

Well, here's a lotta love!

Saw these new models yesterday on WatchBuys and was immediately calculating the days until I'd be able to order one. I have always thought the U-50 was a design that would stand the test of time—and it has. But 44mm was just too big; I knew I'd never wear...

Finally, someone who matches my enthusiasm.

They say that perfect is the enemy of good. I would have killed for a COSC-certified SW300-1 inside but, then again, I’m known to have an isochronism/accuracy obsession

As am I!

I'm sure you've seen the new 40mm Portuguese. Killer in some eyes. But 3bar??? Why do watch companies—presumably to save a few dollars—make critical mistakes? NO WATCH THAT COSTS OVER $2,000 SHOULD HAVE LESS THAN A 10 BAR WATER RESISTANCE RATING!!! Yes? L...

Lol

I feel you, man. That Portugieser could have been perfect had they not taken a few shortcuts, but alas. Regarding water resistance, 3 BAR might as well mean “wrap me up in moisture-wicking material because I’m that brittle”. You stay safe as well, and tha...
