I only use wire transfer when i sell When i buy “ i always buy the seller”

It was the first and the last time I ever accept Paypal G&S.

Wire transfer.. But yeah, otherwise, buyer gets too much protection on PayPal.

That was the first and last time that I will use paypal G&S.

... because if the buyer (falsely or truthfully) tells PayPal that the F&F funds were transferred for a commercial transaction and the buyer never received the item, then PayPal can decide to (a) reverse the transaction and/or (b) ban the seller (and ... 

Didnt see your first post. I suppose you sold the SLA017 (a fine piece) to the scammer who paid by PP. Then he claimed he didnt get the watch and asked PP to reverse payment? Good thing you got payment back. For different reasons, i have stopped using PP.... 

He claimed that he didn't authorize the transaction with his bank and paypal. Even though I had all the evidence supporting that I shipped the watch.

I suppose he has to sell that watch to make some money off his fraud. Am just appalled and concerned over the increasing number of frauds being perpetrated recently.

But would you have rather had the watch returned instead of the funds?

The watch was NOS and would rather be wearing it right now.

Thanks for the advice. I am always beware of false information. I check things more then twice before i do something. The downside is, i take no risks. The good thing, i’m not a victim. When i want something, i start with a little step and look what will ... 

In regards to pre-owned and vintage it's another story. I have sold via chrono24 when all other avenues have not worked and the trusted checkout did take longer than a normal transaction and cost 6.5% in fees but it was smooth and would recommend it.

And thanks for sharing your experience. It is useful to take into consideration while buying or selling through the net and paying items or receiving funds on PP or on other way. Something may go wrong that does mean sleepless nights.
