Still wearing several watches sequentially, but not the dress ones.

As others have noted, some watches don't really seem to work with a T-shirt.
I don't have much current interest in buying, in part because I don't want to be in shops and in part because I often buy watches that require restoration and I don't want to be in restoration shops.

Pandemic Stay-At-Home Watch-Wearing Habits

 By: Jim14 : October 31st, 2020-20:26
An interesting and discouraging trend has shown up in the evolution of my watch-wearing habits during the pandemic: I have no interest in actually wearing anything besides my AP Carbon even though I have many beautiful and rare pieces. I like this watch p...

I have been wearing a $20 plastic Timex for the past 9 months...

...only breaking out my 16800 Sub to make sure the oil doesn't settle : ) I don't have a great collection of any sort but continue to keep my eye on an 'exit' piece. That, of course, pending the stock market, etc. If I didn't live in California, the tax s...

That's a great issue to have.

I imagine you will rediscover your others in due time. For now, enjoy riding the AP wave!

Not really. I wear my watches for a longer time, which means one each week, two week or even a whole month. The Covid and the lockdown didn't change that. BUT...

I had the time to rediscover some of my watches, such as the Rolex Yacht Master and Milgauss. Best, Nicolas

I'm experiencing something very similar

I have built my collection along there years to cover the needs of my "normal life", and I do love all my watches. But my daily habits have changed dramatically with the pandemic, so my "needs" are now totally different. I don't want to make changes to th...

I thought it would dampen my enthusiasm but it really hasn't. Sure there was that momentary knock in the head during the first couple of months but interestingly enough, it probably made things worse..

For sure I ask myself the question, "where the hell am I gonna wear it". And the answer has evolved into "who cares"! I can't help it. I enjoy looking down my wrist all throughout the day. Doesn't even matter if I'm wearing a nice shirt or a ratty T. Of c...

For me it is the opposite experience...for now anyway

The itching to get new watch seem stronger during the pandemic as I had too much time to wonder why I sold so many pieces in the past 18 months thinking I could live with only one or two watches. So I started to rebuild the collection. I tend to wear my w...

I find myself in a similar situation Jim.

For the first 4-5 months I wore a mechanical watch maybe two or three times (for a couple of hours). I did on a few occasions strap one on for a wrist shot but that was literally it; a few minutes. I was questioning at that point why these watches were si...

I never pulled the trigger on it because o have had bad experience with new untested AP’s: crown’s coming out, ceramic pushers falling off, first batch of forged carbon fall apart. Anyway, I still love the design. How’s the forged carbon and other compone...

Thanks for your interest -- I dove deep into the catalog of issues on this piece and came up with . . .

the fact that the installation of a ceramic bezel was AP's answer to forged carbon chunks falling off when the watch is struck just so. Of course, the case is still FC, but to that end, I don't think it is any more delicate than a gold case might be and i...
