Shanghai horology
Headed to Shanghai for the first time. Extremely excited. Are there any must see AD's or boutiques that more experienced travelers or Shanghai residents can recommend?
Nothing special......
Like any major city in affluent Asia, most of the usual boutiques are here. No reduction in investment of luxury brands in China. But China list price and luxury taxes are high.......... Regards, MTF
Huai Hai Lu
It's worth stopping by Huai Hai Lu, there are a number of new boutiques there, including the twin Dunhill and Vacheron Constantin villas. Prices are indeed high though given the luxury tax imposed. And no tax refunds for visitors that I'm aware of.
Make sure you also visit Plaza 66.
It's a large shopping centre on the corner of Nanjing West Road and Shaanxi North Road. The name in Chinese characters is ???? (Hang Long Guang Chang), which you can cut and paste into your phone or print out to show the cabbie - they all know where it is...

nice selection
They even had a stainless white faced Rolex Daytona out that was not pre-owned. I have never seen that in NY or anywhere in the US that I can think of.
