Very interesting phenomenon. The all metal “red” Casio G-Shock apparently changes color in water. This is pool water so chlorinated bit take a look. Anyone ever seen such a thing?

You need the same angle of both watches...
For a fair comparison. I never checked any of mine,as I don't bath or swim with them on.
I think it’s more to do with water absorbing different wavelengths of light. .
Not a chemical reaction. Anything red changes at even 5 feet of depth. A wet red watch not immersed in water will look the same. But when submerged it will gradually lose color the deeper you go. The bezel on the 16610LV is green more many reasons. Still ...
