I think the brand who has this sorta movement and likes to do 1/1 watches would be Louis Moinet. Correct?

This is a very good ...

I suppose it has a tourbillon

 By: dedestexhes : February 14th, 2013-10:40
Why would cover the balance weel? Only if visible in the front? I Guess Svend Andersen? He's based in Geneve and would dare such decoration... Best Dirk

You have sharp eyes ...

 By: small-luxury-world : February 14th, 2013-12:38
but the brand is wrong, my friend.

No idea about the brand

 By: Dje : February 14th, 2013-11:47
Hi Oliver, It looks like a Jaquet modern version of a Venus split second chrono, modified with a tourbillon? Dje

A good guess!!!

I thought it was the pictured watch!

 By: dr.kol : February 15th, 2013-02:22
That was the reason I was prepared to list all Geneva based manufacturers excluding Vacheron Constantin and Patek Philippe whose style I know too well. Best, Kari

Interesting motif....

 By: KIH : February 15th, 2013-18:02
... although the brand is not my cup of tea, I respect such creativity and design. Interesting! Thanks, Oliver. Ken

Well, the base movement appears to be a very nicely finished Venus

 By: NickO : February 14th, 2013-16:51
Split-seconds, so that narrows it to the calibers 179, 185, 189 and 190. Hard to say more. So it could have two or three registers, and in the case of the 190 also add a date and a moon-phase. Oh, and I don't see any side chrono pushers, so looks like it ...

Cartier?

 By: Gary G : February 14th, 2013-20:07
Trying to think of what "New York Cathedral" and "Gothic Stained Glass" say to me :-) Best, Gary

Art deco details ...

 By: small-luxury-world : February 15th, 2013-02:17
is it because of this? To me De Witt is closer to american art deco and Cartier is closer to french art deco. The latter is much more "feminine", isn´t it? Cheers, Oliver

i knew it was a DeWitt, but didnt read it until too late :)

 By: G99 : February 15th, 2013-01:35
you do believe me dont you Oliver? you know me so well and know i wouldnt lie about such a thing :) i dont know much about the brand, but i do like their trademark case with the castellated sides. very hard to clean, but a very strong look. i look forward...

"trademark case"

 By: small-luxury-world : February 15th, 2013-02:11
Yes indeed, I like that as well. Do I believe you, Graham? Of course, what else did you expect :-) Cheers, Oliver

Reminds me why ...

 By: AndrewD : February 15th, 2013-03:46
