Better blue, but not crown

Hello everyone!

Been awhile now before i got to being able to post here again. ( Sorry all my buddies on the respective forums! , let me still get back to the hang of all these again, yes i do apologise it is taking rather way too long for me to do these again, but do bare with me, i appreciate it alot! )

So recently i took delivery of the Baltic Hermetique Tourer Blue, of which i have been enjoying it just now for the past 10 hours or so, since i inaugurated it just today due to it being Thanksgiving day, ( btw Happy blessed Thanksgiving to all here who celebrates it! ).

The watch is doing well so far, doing a rate accuracy of +/- 00 secs as of now, but we shall see how it fares over its first 24hours with me.

Just would like to share though the only concern that i have of it currently, and that is the handling of the crown of this piece!
I mean it is cool that it sits flush with the case sides when it is in the zero position ( all the way in, where you could wind the movement manually should you fancy, but a little more on that later ) but the thing is that the crown's ridges where your fingers are supposed to be able to grip it are so little exposed to be able to really have a grasp on it, and to add on top of that it makes it even much more difficult just to turn the crown due to it being so tight! I wonder if this has anything to do with the fact that the watch has a WR of 150m, yet is NOT a screw down crown? Perhaps it has extra tough gaskets ?

And then due to this, it takes quite some effort (one really needs to have some tough slightly protuding nails to accomplish this, it can be quite rough on your flesh at the tips if your index finger and thumb if you attempt to just "pinch" the crown out ) to just PULL the crown out to position 1 ( where it hacks the timepiece as this houses a Miyota 9039 that comes with stop seconds function ) and to set the time. Now over here, because the amount of metal of the crown that gets exposed even in its "out" position is so little, and with that rough turning, (do not misunderstand me that the turning is gritty, it is NOT, in fact it is very smooth, just very HARD to turn) makes just the act of time-setting quite an activity! I found myself in sweat after just winding it manually to start it up (as i do not prefer to just "shake" the watch to jump start it even though it seems that many have recommended this) and then to pull the crown and to set the time. All this at 6am!

Note though that to overcome all this I am in fact using finger cots on both my thumb and index finger just to do all the above. I strongly recommend that you do the same too if you find yourself acquiring this piece.

Does anyone happen to have a suggestion as to what better method can be undertaken to assist the winding of the crown, to pull it out to position 1 from position 0, and then to turn it to set the time? ( besides my finger cot method now )

Would love to hear your comments about this, and if you are a fellow Hermetique owner, to share how you tackle this issue.

Thank you and have a great awesome blessed Thanksgiving again guys!

Best always
