Any one know why ?

Hi,

From many months till now I'm seeing an obvious kind of recession in selling watches online (on ebay and Chrono24) specially the Cartier CPCPs ...
Any one knows the reasons?
 Thanks in advance...

Moderator Edit: This post purely talks about money.  Hence it violates our terms.  And frankly, the answer is all around us; the wars, the economy, banks failing, the falling stock market, the impending recession, crypto dropping (crypto rising created significant wealth and increased spending on watches, and its fall has the opposite effect), China being a large consumer for watches and seeing significant economic instability...  Let's avoid the discussion about money and talk about why we really enjoy watches and our passion behind the topic - I could be mistaken, but I don't think passion should have that much correlation with money.

Most economies in the world are softening (other than oil producing), so casual watch buyers might be less active and speculative money seems to be drying up a little

Cartier CPCP models are quite unique, so the 'market' just might not be there right now for a strong showing.

Dealers are way less liquid. Market drops accordingly

Agree with this sentiment

Cartier CPCP is quite niche and has been pumped up by a few influencers….

If you see the movement involved in modern priveé collections, it is basic but they are relatively expensive. I see an emperor’s new clothes phenomenon there.
