While I am certainly happy that the watch went for huge money ( which will serve a good cause) I find the watch itself to be a major “Yawn”. Doesn’t look like a Patek. Doesn’t look like much of anything other than “Busy”. I don’t “ get it”. ...
The only way to think about it in a rational way.

I think it is almost utterly irrelevant in terms of horology as this watch existed already. Congratulations are due mainly to the Luc Pettavino. His achievements over the years are highly commendable.

that the world record for the highest amount paid for a wirst watch is back in the hands of Patek Philippe. If a Paul Newman Daytona sold for !7 million plus, one could almost argue that the Grandmaster Chime in steel at 31 million was a steal!!

A watch who is 2 in 1. Nice to see, classic quality wins from bling bling diamonds. Real horlogerie instead of exotic carbon, 15 tourbillons spinning, and fancy diamonds. PP is in my opinion the best watchmaker ever.
