had my grammy's watch for ,wow, over 10 years now, but i bought the little magnifier not for the watch but because it sounded neat to view. So this last week after i ran out of things to magnify i remembered the watch and that's when it all happened. I am still so amazed at such workmanship and almost feel ive been missing out not knowing of theseb things till now. The stretch band on it was the first thing i was able to read, btw, would you happen to know where i would be looking to find a calibre number that blomman said might be on the watch? The only other number i can see is very faint and
looks scratched in, unlike the others, its hard to see . If you look real close you can see 39.. but again, don't know if it has meaning. There is also GXM on the watch. Is the watch what you refer to as the movement?

Yes, the loupe system is there for $525, and there is the Hastings Bausch & Lomb triplet 10x, but is there anything in between?

They make great loupes in both 6x and 10x with long eye relief for less than $200.

The magnification of the loupe I received is nowhere near 10X. It's 6X at best, even though it's labeled 10X. The magnification is about the same as the Loupe System 6X (which I have and compared it to) except the Deutsche Optik has a significantly smalle...
Buy a Microscope :) or check "modellers headband"
